What is your fitness story?

A life long athlete playing just about every sport there is to play, football and wrestling ended up being what I excelled at. I was Introduce to lifting in high school through my football team. Personally, I fell in love with the process of developing my strength and explosiveness to help my performance in sports. I Never saw lifting as a stand-alone sport or a focus until I met Chris Gartrell late into my senior year. He explained to me that people actually compete in the sport, being that my athletic career was about to come to an end, I immediately said yes and joined Gym 244. I’ve been competing in Olympic Weightlifting since 2015 as a member of SAS Weightlifting Club.

What is your favorite movement?

Without a doubt my favorite movement is the clean! It was major focus in high school and I got decently good at it over the years.

What is your favorite quote?

“Be comfortable with being uncomfortable”
