Crossfit Level 1 Certification
Leslie has always had an affinity for teaching; one could say that it runs in her blood. Her mother, grandmother and great grandmother were all teachers, making her a fourth generation teacher.Leslie loves working with individuals who are new to the world of fitness. Watching people progress over time is a process she thoroughly enjoys. She lives for the moments when athletes accomplish something they never thought they would be able to do, ranging from the first burpee to the first muscle-up. She truly believes that you don’t have to be strong to start but you have to start to be strong.

After graduating from the University of Arizona in 2008 she earned her Master’s in School Counseling because she enjoyed the idea of guiding young individuals through arduous times. Her exposure to school counseling helped shape her interest in coaching group classes. During the summer of 2012, Leslie received her Level 1 certification in Park City, Utah. Shortly after that, she began shadowing coaches at CrossFit Works until she was finally given the responsibility of teaching the 7 a.m. class. Over time she took over more classes to help fulfill her interest in teaching and coaching.

Facts about Leslie -
When Leslie isn’t harassing her fiancé, her immediate family and/or her friends, she loves driving her race car around the Tucson desert. She also likes to pretend she is some type of botanist and animal rights activist. Leslie competed in the 2012 CrossFit Regionals as a team member and has qualified and competed as an individual CrossFit Regional competitor in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
