What is your fitness story?

With nearly 20 years of coaching experience, health and fitness have always been more than just a profession—they’ve been a guiding force throughout my life. My journey began in Tucson, where I played high school sports at Catalina High School from 2000 to 2004. This passion for athletics continued into college, where I had the privilege of playing both football and running track at Whittier College in California. It was at Whittier that I first discovered my love for coaching. After earning my degree in Kinesiology, I embarked on a strength and conditioning internship in Newport, CA, while also coaching sprints and jumps at Pomona-Pitzer College. Eventually, life brought me back to Tucson, where I began work at CrossFit gym and pursued my dual passions as an athlete and coach. In Tucson, I had the honor of meeting Samantha Silverman, our late friend and founder of 244, who became a pivotal figure in my life and career. Together, we laid the foundation for what 244 has become today. In those early years, I dedicated myself to competing in CrossFit at both local and regional levels, while also refining my skills in coaching and programming.

Beyond my own athletic achievements, I’ve been privileged to support the journeys of a diverse group of athletes, including CrossFit competitors, national-level lifters, jiu-jitsu world champions, collegiate and Olympic athletes, high school teams, stroke survivors, and even my own mother. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve always understood the profound impact a coach can have. And have been fortunate to learn from some of the best, who showed me early on the transformative power of someone invested in you. I’m proud to continue carrying that torch today. Currently, I serve as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 306th Rescue Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. In this role, I design and implement strength and conditioning programs for over 100 squadron members, including active Pararescue Specialists (PJs), Combat Rescue Officers (CROs), Special Tactics Officers (STOs), and SERE personnel, both onsite and abroad.
